Material Procurement

MTI works with a variety of suppliers to secure whatever materials are necessary to get the job done - bar-stock, castings, forgings, etc. Our commitment to quality and value saves you time and money and ensures a superior end-product.

Pre- and Post-Weld Processing

For your in-house production job, let MTI take care of any pre- or post-weld processing you require. In addition to cutting or machining stock to length, we also provide heat treat via our three in-house furnaces, weld flash removal, finish machining, turning, milling and grinding.

Tooling

MTI maintains a large inventory of friction welding fixturing and tooling - allowing customers to utilize any existing tooling that fits their jobs at no additional cost. If stock tooling is not available, MTI has the experience and resources necessary to produce tooling specific to any application.

Feasibility Studies and Prototypes

Utilizing feasibility studies, weld development and prototypes, MTI has helped develop hundreds of parts for industries worldwide - using all variations of friction welding, minimizing development time, reducing component costs, and optimizing part manufacturability.

Metallurgical Evaluations and Testing

Assess the strength, durability and general integrity of weld zones. Our experienced Metallurgists have been providing detailed and quantified metallurgical evaluations for more than 30 years.
