Cost Effective

In resistance welding, the weld is created by the resistance to the flow of current passing through the materials and application of external pressure. Therefore, resistance welding does not require flux, filler metals, or external heat sources, thus saving costs.

High Production Rate

Resistance welding is ideal for large production volumes with short heating times and small welding deformation. A solid phase, forge weld is made, and any molten metal and contaminants formed at the interface during heating are squeezed out into the upset.

Environmentally Friendly

Compared to more traditional welding methods, resistance welding produces little waste or pollution resulting in a better working environment. To ensure machines are running at optimum levels 100% of the time, MTI offers in-house and on-site refurbishment.

Easy Automation

Resistance welding is ideal for automation due to limited worker involvement. The process is normally automatic or semi-automatic, and process monitoring can be used to monitor weld quality.
