RM Series Friction Stir Welder

The RM Series machines are MTI’s most popular machine for R&D facilities and universities. All MTI FSW machines come standard with Stirtec’s FSW control platform, built on the globally-supported SIEMENS Sinumerik ONE CNC controller. This highly responsive and precise control system utilizes G and M code programing and offers closed loop force and position control welding to maintain weld quality and repeatability. MTI equipment is also integrated with STIRlytics®, Stirtec’s inline process monitoring software. This tool measures, documents, and analyzes process data for each weld to offer full weld traceability. The software also enables set up of warning and switch off levels, supports remote diagnostics and updates, and provides Industry 4.0 ready connectivity.
