Here at manufacturing services, we offer weld development, prototyping, and production services, both welding as well as pre- and post-weld process.
If you were to come to MTI manufacturing services, we can offer an array of different options to suit your needs.
If you’re considering friction welding, typically, we’re looking for customers that may be having a quality problem with their existing process, customers that are looking to reduce cost, or reduce processing time.
One of the reasons a lot of customers look at friction welding is for the solid-state welding joint. Here, our manufacturing services, we have a full metallurgical lab. Our chief metallurgist has decades of experience and can evaluate the weld quality during the well development stage. We can then give you a welder report with our findings to help you determine your next step.
Another benefit of manufacturing services here at MTI is, if you are a manufacturer that currently friction welds in-house, we can provide a backup service to you in the event of scheduled downtime, scheduled maintenance, or if you’re working with our machine build division, building a new machine, we can provide welding services for you during the build process.
Because we’re a global company, we have this facility here in South Bend in the heart of the Midwest manufacturing belt. And in the UK, you can find us in what’s known as the Black Country, which got its name from the area’s “The history of foundries and forges.”
The manufacturing services facility is roughly a hundred and seventeen thousand square feet. We have four loading docks here, so we have the capacity to receive as well as ship large quantities of material.
When you work with MTI, you know we’re going to do the job right, and we’re going to do it safely. We hold a lot of specialized certifications, including Nadcap and AS9100. We have a quality system in place to assure the final quality of their product.
